it's cold, wet, and sorta muddy outside. your dog loves it, but you've got company coming and you want your canine companion to be able to join in the fun. a.k.a. spot offers bathing tubs for your dogs, large and small. These are perfect for giving your dog a bath in the easiest, most comfortable setting possible. Tub, shampoo, and towel are all provided for you, and we feature a great blow dryer that's perfect even for the longhair breed in your life!

There is a pre-registration process, so please ask us for details! After we have you set up as a self-wash client, we will be happy to schedule you and your dog for a 30-minute appointment. You'll both love the convenience. Remember, cleanliness is next to dogliness, and spot will help your dog get clean, dry, and happy.

We're also now offering a frequent washers card, with more benefits the more often you wash your dog at spot! Ask for details at the shop.

Our 2010 Greyhound Adoption Dates Updated

a.k.a. spot is working with Greyhound Welfare to help find adoptive homes for greyhounds throughout the Washington Metro area. Want to meet some great dogs? Come visit us on our upcoming adoption days, and find your new best friend.

Greyhound foster dogs and ambassadogs would love to meet you! And their Greyhound Welfare volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions. So come out and meet the dogs and the people from this great organization!.

Our next Greyhound Welfare date is Sunday, February 28th, from 12-2, and they'll be back again on Sunday March 28th, at aka spot in Clarendon.

we wanted to start a new feature on the website, and we'll be including it on our blog, so keep an eye out for it each month. the goal is to help spot's friends at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington (at awla.org) to place some of the pets they care for so generously each month. Here, we'll be featuring a number of pets who are available for adoption from AWLA.
